DRÄXLMAIER celebrates 30 years of the Pitesti location

The Pitești location was the first opened by DRÄXLMAIER Group in Eastern Europe. In Romania, the company had chosen the Argeș city for its first factory in Romania, becoming one of the first foreign investors in the region. In 1993, DRÄXLMAIER Pitești opened its doors with 20 employees and its first product: engine wiring harnesses. Over time, the company gradually developed, manufacturing components for the most diverse premium car models on the market.

With the Anniversary Gala organised on 19 October, the company wanted to create a festive moment dedicated to those who have accompanied it over the last 30 years and supported it during its development. The ceremony was opened by Bernd Schmitt, Head of Plant DRÄXLMAIER Pitești, and Daniela Cîrciuvoianu, Head of Engineering Technology Support, who welcomed the guests and expressed their appreciation for the support constantly received.

The President of DRÄXLMAIER Group Fritz Dräxlmaier, together with the top management from the German headquarters, joined the event. On behalf of the entire management, Mr. Dräxlmaier conveyed his sincere congratulations and thanks: "My appreciation, respect and thanks go to all employees in Pitești for the extraordinary performance, competence, commitment and creativity they have shown every day in our family business for 30 years."

Joining the group management, Stefan Brandl COB, Jan Reblin CEO and Alexander Schubel, Country Manager for Romania, together with long-standing partners and collaborators of the company, such as the the Mayor of Pitești, Cristian Gentea, the Prefect of Argeș County, Radu-Valeriu Perianu, Vice President of Argeș County Council, Marius Florinel Nicolaescu, the Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bucharest, Christian Plate, as well as representatives of the German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK), the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Argeș County, and other prominent guests.

The Mayor of Pitești highlighted that DRÄXLMAIER has become part of Pitești's history: "I consider the partnership between the administration and the DRÄXLMAIER Group not only a long-lasting one, but also a solid one, a successful example of a relationship based on trust, mutual respect and commitment to development", said Gentea in his speech.

On behalf of the German Embassy in Bucharest, Christian Plate warmly congratulated the company for 30 years of activity: "In the last three decades, DRÄXLMAIER Pitești has evolved from a production unit to a thriving facility with production and development capabilities. DRÄXLMAIER's long-term interest and constant expansion are a sign of the strong economic ties and deep bond between Romania and Germany. I wish DRÄXLMAIER and all its employees continued success."

Bernd Schmitt and Daniela Cîrciuvoianu thanked the employees who celebrated 30 years of activity with the company, particularly appreciating their commitment and loyalty. They were invited on stage together with the DRÄXLMAIER Group management. "It is a great pleasure for me to express my appreciation to those who have been with us since the beginning for their outstanding commitment", Bernd Schmitt emphasized. Daniela Cîrciuvoianu has been with the company since 1993 and looked back: "It is impressive how the location has developed from the beginning to the present day", said Cîrciuvoianu.

DRÄXLMAIER has been "At home in Pitești for 30 years" and is proud of its results and contribution to the success of the whole group. The company is a reliable and long-standing partner of the local community and constantly contributes to its development through supported projects in various fields. Looking to the future, the company aims to maintain the same upward evolution of the last decades, so that it will be "At home in Pitești" for decades to come.
