An unforgettable afternoon at EVL
40 children and young people were able to take a look behind the scenes at EV Landshut on Friday afternoon at the invitation of the club and the DRÄXLMAIER Group. There were young members of the Vilsbiburg youth fire brigade, the Vilsbiburg and Geisenhausen water rescue services, as well as children from the conVincentius children's home. “As a family business, we are very pleased that EV Landshut is inviting so many children from Vilsbiburg and Geisenhausen to this fan afternoon. A look behind the scenes at their favorite club is an unforgettable experience for young people,” emphasizes Olivier Dubois, responsible for marketing and communications at DRÄXLMAIER.
After the tour of the stadium, get up close and personal on the ice
Fan representative Thomas Witt welcomed the young visitors to the ice hockey player's statue in front of the Fanatec Arena, where the little fans started a tour of the stadium in two groups. A special highlight was an autograph session with EVL defender John Rogl. After the tour of the stadium, there was also a gift package for each child with autograph cards from all the other players, a fan scarf and a chocolate Santa Claus. After a little refreshment, the crowning conclusion of the fan afternoon was on the agenda: the game against EHC Freiburg. The children were not only allowed to watch the game live in the stadium, but were even allowed to stand by the players as they arrived. “A special highlight for the children was being able to stand directly on the ice while the players skated in and thus be there up close,” said Robert Fischer, head of the conVincentius children’s home. “In general, it was a well-organized event and an exciting day that the children will certainly remember for a long time.”
