DRÄXLMAIER Braunau is once again one of the most family-friendly companies in Austria. In a comprehensive certification process, TÜV Austria tested employers throughout Austria for their family friendliness. The best of them have now been awarded the "Family and Work" certificate from the Federal Chancellery - including DRÄXLMAIER Braunau for the second time in a row.

Susanne Raab, Federal Minister for Women, Family, Integration and Media in the Federal Chancellery, presented DRÄXLMAIER Braunau with the certification certificate at a ceremony in Vienna together with 111 other honored companies, universities and care facilities from all over Austria. "More family friendliness in companies and organizations means, above all, that employees are better able to combine family and work, and that mothers in particular are supported in their needs-based lifestyle. For companies, more family friendliness also means that they take on responsibility as employers and act as role models for other companies. I would like to thank all certified institutions for this," said Susanne Raab.

Family friendliness further improved
Since the last certification, DRÄXLMAIER Braunau has significantly expanded its mobile working options in particular. The company also impressed with a site party for employees and their families last year during the certification process. In addition, communication with employees has been further optimized, for example with the help of multimedia information screens throughout the site. Flexible working time models have been established at the site for many years. "We are very pleased about the renewed certification as a particularly family-friendly employer," said Andreas Schnallinger, site manager of DRÄXLMAIER Braunau. "This award confirms that we have been able to further improve the compatibility of family and work."

Employee orientation is firmly anchored in the culture of the automotive supplier. "As a family business, it is particularly important to us to enable our employees to achieve the best possible balance between family and work. With its award, the Braunau site represents the high standards of the DRÄXLMAIER Group worldwide," says Franz Haslinger, who came to Vienna from Vilsbiburg in Lower Bavaria as a representative of the headquarters.

Certification process with employee participation
The companies and universities awarded by the Federal Chancellery have all successfully participated in the "Work and Family" or "University and Family" certification process, in which they developed family-friendly measures tailored to their organization with the participation of employees and students. Companies from all sectors with five or more employees can acquire the "Work and Family" certification. In the certification process, the range of existing family-friendly measures is evaluated together with the employees and the need for new measures is determined.
