16. February 2017 The number of patent applications rises sharply again in 2016

DRÄXLMAIER is using its knowledge to invest in the future: the organization applied for 191 patents in 2016. That means that the number of patent applications has doubled since 2014 and even tripled since 2012. The DRÄLXMAIER Group demonstrates its innovative strength particularly with new vehicle interior solutions and parts for the electrical systems of the future.

DRÄXLMAIER has filed patent applications for over 1,000 inventions since the eighties – half of them are just five years old or even younger. Last year alone, employees from 13 countries submitted a total of 500 inventions to the Patent Department of DRÄXLMAIER. Of that number, there were 200 new inventors who submitted their proposals. "DRÄXLMAIER is showing remarkable innovative strength, because there is a unique invention behind every patent application", said Peter Berg who heads the Patent Department at DRÄXLMAIER.

Numerous patents in the area of interior systems vehicle electrical systems 

The patent applications comprise the entire range of technologies of the DRÄXLMAIER Group and considerably strengthen their operational excellence: In 2016, the company registered  innovative solutions, particularly for interior lighting, interior modules, electrical system parts and new types of production means.

As the inventor of the customized wiring harness, DRÄXLMAIER even today offers its customers pioneering technologies and products for conventional and alternative drive systems by combining the important in-house competences of  Design, Engineering, Prototype Construction, Production, Testing and Supply Chain Management.
