19. July 2012 Vilsbiburg, July 19, 2012. – The Dräxlmaier Group will set up a new production plant in Kavadarci, Macedonia. In the next few months, the international automotive supplier will establish a full-line production plant, which will supply premium automakers with wiring systems just-in-time and just-in-sequence.

Production start is projected as early as November 2012. Starting February 2013, the parts will be manufactured in a temporary production hall. With the start of series production in 2012, the plant will employ 300 people; in the following years the number will increase up to 4000.

Excellent personnel resources, a good infrastructure and logistical conditions are crucial for founding a new Dräxlmaier plant in Macedonia. Even more, the stable government and the progressive administration make it easy for the German based company to settle in this area. In this regard, the Dräxlmaier Group wants to thank the prime minister of Macedonia, Nikola Gruevski, the minister for foreign investments, Vele Samak, and his cabinet, as well as the mayor of Kavadarci, Aleksandar Panov, for the intensive support in realizing this project.

The new plant in Kavadarci is the first Dräxlmaier investment in Macedonia.  With this step, the company expands its international presence, which is primarily oriented toward the growth of the best known premium automotive manufacturers.
