DRÄXLMAIER wins eLearning AWARD

24. March 2025 The automotive supplier's innovative training concept was awarded in the sustainability category.

Sustainability is an integral part of corporate culture at the DRÄXLMAIER Group. For this reason, we are constantly optimizing all processes in order to operate in a climate- and environmentally-friendly manner. Our company's sustainability strategy also includes sustainable products and the implementation of the highest social standards. Since sustainability as a principle of action affects all areas of the company, DRÄXLMAIER has developed and implemented a comprehensive eLearning concept that enables all employees to integrate sustainable thinking and acting into their daily work.

“A role model for future-oriented companies”
This innovative concept has now been recognized with the eLearning AWARD 2025 in the Sustainability category. DRÄXLMAIER impressed the jury of experts above all with its holistic approach. Sustainability is not taught as additional knowledge, but is deeply integrated into the strategic goals of the company. The training program is designed to be just as comprehensive. “From foundational training to specific courses for various functions: the latest learning technologies and a clear vision make this project a role model for future-oriented companies,” said jury chairman Frank Siepmann.

Overall concept rolled out over several years
DRÄXLMAIER launched a comprehensive eLearning program to promote sustainability in all areas of the company as early as 2021. The successful launch of important foundational training courses was followed by function-specific training in 2022 and 2023, which was tailored to the needs of the individual departments. For example, employees from product development received further training on circular economy, while colleagues from sales benefited from training on customer-specific sustainability requirements. “Our aim is to offer all training participants the greatest possible added value for their daily work with a customized concept,” emphasizes Thomas Schröder, Head of Learning at DRÄXLMAIER. This year, a training program for external suppliers completed the overall concept. This involved integrating video-based training directly into the company's official supplier portal.

Positive feedback from employees and suppliers
The eLearning concept achieved measurable success. Both the completion rate and the course evaluations by participants are consistently well above average. The training courses for suppliers also received a very positive response. By integrating the training courses into the onboarding process for new employees, the company also ensures that sustainability is firmly embedded in the daily work of all colleagues. "With our eLearning concept, we ensure that all important aspects of sustainability are understood by all colleagues. This helps us as a company achieve our crucial sustainability goals," says Daniel Ostner, responsible for sustainability management at the automotive supplier.
