16. March 2015 DRÄXLMAIER Aviation demonstrates innovations at the Aircraft Interiors Expo

    Hamburg/Vilsbiburg, March 16, 2015. –DRÄXLMAIER Aviation, represented for the second time at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), will be presenting new developments for aircraft interiors in Hamburg from April 14th to 16th. The approval as a production organisation (21G) recently granted by the German Federal Office of Civil Aviation has given a boost to these specialists in individual aircraft interiors. DRÄXLMAIER Aviation, a subsidiary of the DRÄXLMAIER Group, benefits from the automotive supplier's 55+ years of development and production competence, will be presenting surprising perspectives for future aircraft interiors once again in 2015.


    The expo highlights of DRÄXLMAIER Aviation at a glance:

    • "Bulkhead"
      The Bulkhead is a back-lit, translucent room separator that can be individually customised. For example, ornamentation and decorations covering a large surface area can be implemented.
    • "DRÄXLMAIER Enclosure Concept"
      Series innovations from the automotive industry have come to aviation in the form of the DRÄXLMAIER Enclosure. These include individual interior solutions and intelligent storage compartment concepts such as adjustable multi-purpose overhead compartments and storage compartments, foldable trays and drawers, boxes and covered hinges. Design materials with individual colour concepts and illuminated from within by glass fibres make for a real eye-catcher.
    • Patented table kinematics
      The table kinematics is a high-quality retractable interior solution with a space-saving design.
    • Seat refurbishment
      With its seat refurbishment services, DRÄXLMAIER Aviation revamps the seat design while retaining the existing seat structure and the current ETSO aviation approval. Internally illuminated leather with a diamond effect is used here to display company logos or insignia.
