Sustainable energy supply

05. October 2020 The Polish DRÄXLMAIER site Jelenia Gora uses green electricity

From the beginning of 2021, the power supply for the Jelenia Gora site in Poland will be obtained from renewable energy sources.

A certificate from the new power supplier Energa confirms that the amount of electricity purchased by DRÄXLMAIER is generated exclusively by wind and hydroelectric power plants. This changeover ensures CO2 savings of 24,000 tons per year.

DRÄXLMAIER contributes to the demand for electricity from renewable energy sources by using green electricity. Daniel Ostner, head of sustainability management at DRÄXLMAIER, explains the effect: "We ensure that the demand for green electricity increases. This increased demand supports the further expansion of renewable energies in Poland.”
