Together for bright children's eyes
After the good response last year from both employees and children and young people, the DRÄXLMAIER wish list campaign took place again this year. The company invited its employees to fulfill the Christmas wishes of over 65 children and young people from the Caritas St. Vinzenz children's home in Landshut and from the two conVincentius residential groups in Obergangkofen, Kumhausen.
Virtual wish tree
The children and young people received wish lists on which they could write down their wishes worth up to 30 euros. Back at DRÄXLMAIER, the completed wish lists were then scanned and published on the “virtual wish tree” on the intranet. There the employees selected the wish lists. After the DRÄXLMAIER employees had purchased the gifts and lovingly wrapped them, they were able to hand them over to a central location in the company.
The gifts were handed over by the DRÄXLMAIER Group directly in the children's home and in the conVincentius residential groups. Christmas presents are distributed there to the children and young people. Doris Zellner, Head of Corporate Communications, is pleased that the campaign was once again so well received: “The employees were once again very committed, all wish lists were taken after just a few days and we received a lot of positive feedback. This campaign is a wonderful example of how companies can do good together with their employees.”
Those responsible for the children's home and conVincentius were very happy about the numerous gifts. Magdalena Dauer, head of the Caritas St. Vinzenz children's home in Landshut, emphasized: “Many children and young people stay in the children's home over Christmas. We are working with the whole team to give you a wonderful Christmas Eve. The gifts help us make children’s eyes shine.”
