'Very High Customer Orientation'

Solihull/Vilsbiburg, October 1, 2015 – A great honor for DRÄXLMAIER: The automotive supplier's English site in Solihull recently received the "JLRQ Award" from Jaguar Land Rover. The award recognizes supplier sites, which fulfill the high requirements of the British premium automotive manufacturer with regard to product and process quality.

"This award fills the entire team in Solihull, as well as me personally, with great pride. Everyone did an excellent job," said Joachim Putsch, plant manager of the DRÄXLMAIER site in Solihull, upon receiving the JLRQ Award. "We are very highly customer-oriented at DRÄXLMAIER. My team is highly motivated, and we will continue to supply Jaguar Land Rover with this premium quality in the future as well."

Barbara Bergmeier, Head of production and logistics at the DRÄXLMAIER Group, emphasized during the presentation that DRÄXLMAIER understands and lives the customer’s philosophy. "Our processes are stable, synchronized and precisely coordinated with each other," she said. "We are therefore able to deliver center consoles and cockpits for the Land Rover Discovery, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport precisely in sequence to the Jaguar Land Rover production lines."

For the supplier, it is now essential not to let up on its efforts and to continuously develop further. In the coming months, the DRÄXLMAIER Group wants to achieve JLRQ status for its English site in Tamworth as well, and work as hard as it can toward the highly coveted Jaguar Land Rover "Supplier Excellence Award."

The JLRQ status is awarded only to supplier sites that are first-class in the areas of high-performance systems, sustainable performance, customer support and continuous improvement processes, among many others. Additional requirements are certification according to the environmental management standard ISO 14001 as well as the quality management system ISO/TS 16949.
