DRÄXLMAIER employees donate to the "Tafel Vilsbiburg"
Under the motto “An espresso for the table”, the DRÄXLMAIER Group called for donations for the Vilsbiburg table at its headquarters in Vilsbiburg in the run-up to Christmas. To make it clear that even small amounts count, employees were able to throw money into a donation box in the company restaurant - for example, the equivalent of a cup of espresso, as the title of the campaign made clear. The company then doubled the amount raised in this way. A total of 2,305 euros was raised.
The full amount goes to the Vilsbiburg food bank. “As a family business, DRÄXLMAIER is firmly rooted in the region. It is therefore very important to us to support important social institutions such as Tafel Vilsbiburg,” says Olivier Dubois, responsible for marketing and communications. Works council chairman Rudi Lang added: “We are very pleased that the employees took part so actively.”
In addition to food donations, Tafel Vilsbiburg also relies on monetary donations
Gabriele Hentschel accepted the donation on behalf of the Vilsbiburg Tafel, which is responsible for those in need in the city and the surrounding communities. “We are very pleased about the support of the DRÄXLMAIER employees. Every donation is a great help to us,” emphasizes Hentschel. For a symbolic euro, all people who have a corresponding Tafel card can receive food for themselves and their families from the Tafel. As Hentschel explains, the Tafel receives food donations, for example from supermarkets, but you always have to buy food yourself in order to ensure basic supplies for those who need it week after week. “This is why monetary donations are so important to us. Every cent goes directly to our fellow human beings,” says Hentschel.
