DRÄXLMAIER wins the German Idea Management Award

The DRÄXLMAIER Group has won the German Ideas Management Award in the main category "Best Ideas Management." This award from the German Institute for Ideas and Innovation Management is the highest honor of its kind in the German-speaking world.

As the German Institute for Ideas and Innovation Management highlighted during the awards ceremony, ideas management at DRÄXLMAIER looks back on a 40-year history. "It has always been an integral and integral part of the corporate culture. We also began early on to extend the methodology across the global network in order to achieve a high reach and benefit," according to the jurors. The jury particularly praised the effectiveness of the strategic orientation, the integration of ideas management into corporate processes, and the transparent presentation of cost-effectiveness in reporting.

Systematically capturing and harnessing employee ideas
The DRÄXLMAIER Group's ideas management system has been established worldwide for several decades. As a link between employees and management, it coordinates the discovery, evaluation, and implementation of new ideas. Back in 2009, the automotive supplier digitized its ideation process, allowing employees to submit their ideas and suggestions for improvement within minutes. DRÄXLMAIER has thus established a method for actively involving its workforce in its improvement culture. More than 15,000 ideas are submitted worldwide each year. These ideas create real added value for the company. More than 50 percent of all submissions are implemented – a record high.
"With this award, DRÄXLMAIER has once again demonstrated that all employees are excellently involved in the creative improvement of company processes, thus creating an outstanding and appreciative culture of innovation," says Tom Wallner, responsible for international idea management.
This is DRÄXLMAIER's second award within just a few years. In 2022, the supplier took third place. "Idea management must also improve. This is achieved through continuous training and high motivation of everyone involved. We are delighted that this commitment has been recognized with first place in the German Idea Management Award," said Wallner.

Honor for exemplary companies
The German Idea Management Award is organized as part of "Ideas Shape the Future," an initiative of top management of German companies to promote idea management in business and administration, and honors exemplary companies. The nationwide competition is the highest award in idea management in Germany and is awarded by an independent jury of experts from academia and industry. The evaluation criteria are linked to the goals of the United Nations Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. The German Idea Management Award aims to promote idea generators, managers, and junior staff who embrace an imaginative corporate culture.
