The DRÄXLMAIER Group at the IZB 2022

30. September 2022 At the International Suppliers Fair in Wolfsburg, DRÄXLMAIER shows innovations under the guiding principle "Outstanding Solutions through Synergy".

The automotive industry is in the midst of the most sweeping technological transformation in its history. Megatrends like digitalization, electrification, and sustainability are fundamentally changing the automobile. This is also increasing the complexity of issues that automotive manufacturers and their suppliers must tackle.

The DRÄXLMAIER Group is taking a comprehensive approach, so that its customers maintain their competitive edge in the market. To fulfill this vision, DRÄXLMAIER experts think systematically – beyond product limitations and product segments. Under the guiding principle Outstanding Solutions through Synergy, the DRÄXLMAIER Group bundles its competencies in interiors, electronics, electrics, components and battery systems.
DRÄXLMAIER will present all current innovation focal points from October 11 to 13 at the International Suppliers Fair at booth 1225 in hall 1 in Wolfsburg. The focus is on our Electrical Systems and the interior of the future, e-mobility and sustainability.

Rethinking the electrical system and making it fit for the future
Numerous innovative functions and equipment features place completely new, complex demands on electrical systems. DRÄXLMAIER has long found alternatives to pave the way for future developments: From a one-piece wiring harness to a functionally integrated, zonal architecture. Using decades of know-how in electronic systems, DRÄXLMAIER developed electronic and hybrid power distributors for zonal electrical systems that act as intelligent interfaces to the zonal electrical system architectures.

Comprehensive e-mobility package
The DRÄXLMAIER Group offers a full e-mobility package, from the charging socket to the wiring harness and the high-voltage switch box. This allows a perfect coordination between our components, prevents unnecessary power losses from occurring in the system and contributes to the overall performance.
An important element here is the optimized high-voltage charging system. As a complete system from one source, the high-voltage charging system reduces complexity and the number of interfaces and enables fast charging.

Function-integrated competence for the interior of the future
DRÄXLMAIER integrates functions like heating and air-conditioning and their operation via touch into the surface of the interior. The lighting solutions of the premium supplier allow intuitive operation, smooth interaction between passenger and vehicle and create atmospheric, individualized interior lighting. An important component of the interior is the "FIS Touch" technology (Functionally Integrated System). Touch operation is available beneath either hard or soft surfaces and (in soft surfaces) is illuminated through translucent fabric.

Proactively sustainable for future-proof products
The DRÄXLMAIER Group has been proactively focusing on sustainable solutions for all its products for many years. The focus is always on the entire value chain: from the selection of materials and components, through product design and logistics, to the energy required for production. In concrete terms, DRÄXLMAIER focuses, among other things, on lightweight construction and designs processes that conserve resources. In addition, the premium supplier realizes its interior products with numerous biological materials. In this way, DRÄXLMAIER noticeably reduces its CO2 footprint.
